Mental Recovery

School of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy – Modern Education, Practical Skills, and Professional Recognition

Are you dreaming of working as a child and adolescent psychotherapist in Poland or abroad? Our four-year School of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy is an intensive postgraduate program that provides you with a solid professional foundation and opens the door to recognized qualifications in a rapidly growing field of mental health.

👉 Who can apply?

We welcome anyone who holds a Master’s degree — not only graduates of psychology or pedagogy, although those backgrounds are preferred. What matters most is your passion, empathy, and commitment to working with young people who increasingly require professional mental health support.

What makes our school stand out?

Modern therapeutic methods

We emphasize integrative practice, blending psychodynamic therapy with CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), EFT, and other approaches, teaching how to flexibly apply them in working with children, adolescents, and families. Our program also covers therapy for individuals on the autism spectrum, ADHD, as well as animal-assisted therapy, music therapy, and somatic work — unique elements that address contemporary client needs.

Scholarships for top students

Outstanding participants may qualify for scholarships that significantly reduce tuition costs — a rare opportunity among psychotherapy schools in Poland.

Real clinical practice from day one

From the very first year, students conduct therapy sessions under supervision, including work at our partner clinic, Mental Recovery, gaining invaluable clinical experience.

Compliance with current legal standards

Our curriculum meets all requirements necessary for pursuing certification as a psychotherapist through the Polish Psychological Association. Importantly, it is also aligned with legal provisions enabling professionals to have their previous experience recognized as equivalent to completing a specialization program in child and adolescent psychotherapy.

Legal basis

Please note that under the Regulation of the Minister of Health dated 31 January 2019 amending the regulation on specializations in fields applicable to healthcare (Journal of Laws 2019, item 226), a new specialty has been established: child and adolescent psychotherapy.

Furthermore, pursuant to Article 28(1) of the Act of 24 February 2017 on obtaining the title of specialist in fields applicable to healthcare (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 599), the Minister of Health may, at the request of an individual with relevant professional or scientific experience, recognize such achievements as equivalent to completing a specialist training program in a given healthcare field. Individuals whose experience is recognized and who pass the National Specialist Examination may obtain the title of specialist in child and adolescent psychotherapy.

The criteria for evaluating applications for recognizing professional or scientific achievements in this field were developed by a team of experts and published on the CMKP website at the request of Dr. hab. n. med. Agnieszka Słopień, the National Consultant in child and adolescent psychotherapy.
